In 2006, the Eustone Apartments underwent a major renovation. The extensive remodel left ‘no stone unturned’. Every bathroom, kitchen, plumbing, wiring, appliance, flooring, wall, window, etc was replaced. This resulted in 28 high quality cozy 1 bedroom and studio apartments. The rent amount includes utilities except for electricity. This is a no pets, no smoking property. On site amenities include: coin operated laundry, free high speed wired internet, and front door intercom system. Many units also enjoy great lake and city views. Please make sure to inquire about off street parking, as some limited options are available.
The Eustone Building was originally built as the Salter Terrace in 1887. Charles Salter was the first pastor of Pilgrim Congregational Church and the first chaplain of the Bethel Association, a missionary society to serve sailors, loggers, miners, and their families. In 1887, Salter and his wife Maria commissioned Oliver Traphagen to build the four townhouses of Salter Terrace. They lived there with their sons and daughters until 1892. The Romanesque Revival building is essentially unchanged on the exterior from its original construction in 1887.
